Afternoon: resort activities, island exploration and extraordinary Red Sea snorkelling from the island’s beaches. Overnight on Shura Island.

Day 5. Shura Island to Al Ula – Arrival & Elephant Rock

Arrive and check in to your desert resort. Evening: Elephant Rock (Jabal AlFil) at sunset — the extraordinary 52-metre natural sandstone monolith glowing amber and gold in the evening light. Abandoned Buwayr and Muduraj train stations — extraordinary remnants of the historic Ottoman Hejaz Railway. Overnight in Al Ula.

Day 6. Al Ula – Hegra UNESCO Site, Dadan & Khaybar

Full day at Hegra (Mada’in Saleh) — Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, with over 100 magnificent Nabataean rock-cut tombs carved into rose-red sandstone mountains, equal in grandeur to Petra. Dadan — the ancient capital of the Lihyanite and Dedanite kingdoms (8th–2nd century BC), with extraordinary monumental tombs.
